Finance Analyst

A rare opportunity has become available for a motivated Financial Analyst to make their mark in an insurance/funds management organisation. Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager, this role will engage with a range of professionals within the Finance team and across the wider business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform management analysis across diverse and complex business units including Life Insurance, General Insurance and Funds Management
- Develop regular reporting on business performance highlighting key trends and opportunities
- Provide value add data insights to support strategic objectives
- Diverse and varied ad-hoc analysis.
The ideal candidate will have proven NZ experience, advanced technical skills, enjoy analytical process and interrogating data, and will enjoy plenty of variety. You must also have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and preferably CA membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand
- An understanding of key business drivers and the linkage to financial performance, with strong financial modelling skills
- Effective workload management techniques and the ability to deliver on commitments with a high attention to detail
- Proven experience proactively and effectively managing internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated computer skills and literacy.
This is a full-time, permanent position currently based in Johnsonville but set to relocate to our new waterfront CBD office in mid-2018.
