MAS AGM 2017
Thank you to all those who attended the MAS AGM held at Te Papa Museum on Wednesday, 30 August 2017.
It was wonderful to see the mutual in action.
As a result, Dr Harley Aish was re-appointed as a Practitioner Trustee, as well as being appointed by the Board as Chair of MAS. Harley is an Auckland-based GP who has been on the MAS Board since 2013. He is also Chair of Auckland GP Group ProCare, and brings considerable experience and the full support of the MAS Board to his new role.
Secondly, congratulations to Dr Alexandra Muthu on her appointment to the MAS Board as a Practitioner Trustee. Alexandra is an Auckland-based occupational and environmental physician, a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, and a Director of an e-health digital start-up company.
Finally, we were able to acknowledge the significant contribution of Dr Richard Tyler to the MAS Board of Trustees. Richard retired from the Board after 37 years serving, the last 21 of these as Chair. Throughout that time, MAS faced many challenging events including the global financial crisis, and the Canterbury and Kaikoura earthquakes.
His guidance and steady hand has been invaluable and MAS’s future success will owe much to his legacy.
